Calamintha nepeta (Calamint) 'marvelette blue' is a compact catmint offering masses of tiny, purple-blue flowers like a cloud swarming with bees. The foliage is mid-green and smells of mint. Terrific for edging a border or growing along a pathway. Also excellent in containers. Flowers are attractive to pollinators. Foliage has a delightful minty fragrance. Easy and reliable, this does not spread around like regular mint. Clumps may be easily divided in early spring. This plant sometimes benefits from a hard clip back in late July, to rejuvenate. Tolerates both dry and moist soils. 1.5 gal
